Tonga workshop - A catalyst for national action in renewable energy

A recent workshop organised by the Small Developing Island Renewable Energy Knowledge and Technology Transfer Network (Project DIREKT) and the University of the South Pacific’s Tonga Campus captured national headlines, and was received with widespread interest by all sectors of the Tongan community. The workshop, held from 11 - 13 April 2012, was opened by Tonga’s Prime Minister, Honorable Lord Tu’ivakano, and televised live to the nation.
